In a previous post, I mentioned that I had joined a CSA for the 2010 season.
On my way home from volunteering at the farm, yesterday, I remarked at how time-consuming that kind of operation must be.
This time of year they are tilling, planting, weeding, and harvesting … enough food for one dozen families to eat. And on top of that, they have farmer’s market duties.
Speaking of which, I saw them at the Meridian farmer’s market on Saturday.

Spinach and lettuce are mainstays early in the Michigan growing season.
Along with rhubarb and garlic sprouts.
